6. The Chicago White Sox have fewer home runs than the Cleveland Indians, and that’s not even counting the air strike happening right now in the Bronx. If the Sox are serious about taking the division, they’re going to need to reclaim their dominance in this obviously vital arena.

7. There is a good chance the AL Central will remain generally unchanged from here on out, not in standings but in the shape of things. A leader just over .500, a few right around the break-even mark, and some lone baseball curmudgeon stinking up the division.
