The Sox lose 8-2, while Logan surrenders two walks, one hit and no runs in two innings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>May 16, 2006:<\/strong> In a road game in Tampa Bay, Logan coughs up six hits, two walks and five runs (four earned) in the space of five outs. Demotion to Charlotte immediately follows.<\/p>\n<p><strong>September 1, 2006: <\/strong>In his first game back, Logan dazzles with a perfect inning of relief. . .<\/p>\n<p><strong>September 6, 2006:<\/strong> . . . but in his third game back, the Indians torch #57 for three runs in one-third of an inning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>September 21, 2006: <\/strong>Logan&#8217;s final outing of 2006: 0.2IP, 0H, 3R, 3ER, 2BB. 5BF.<\/p>\n<p><strong>February 20, 2007: <\/strong>&#8220;It had nothing to do with my mechanics,&#8221; Logan tells the <em>Sun-Times<\/em>. &#8220;I&#8217;ll be truthful with you, I think I had a mental breakdown up there when I was in the bigs. It&#8217;s not my capability of being able to pitch at the big-league level because I know I can do that. Overall, mentally I just didn&#8217;t have it anymore. That&#8217;s the first time I can ever really say that about myself.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>April 2, 2007:<\/strong> Logan makes the opening day roster.<\/p>\n<p><strong>April 17 &#8211; 24, 2007: <\/strong>Logan gives up a total of zero runs in four appearances.<\/p>\n<p><strong>May 13, 2007: <\/strong>One inning, three hits, one walk, two runs. Royals win 11-1.<\/p>\n<p><strong>May 19, 2007: <\/strong>Logan faces four batters. The first, Cubs 1B Derrek Lee, hits a grand slam en route to an 11-6 Cubs win. &#8220;&#8221;Since I&#8217;ve been here [July 2003], that&#8217;s the best game we&#8217;ve played against the White Sox,&#8221; Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez tells the <em>Sun-Times<\/em>. &#8220;The way we won today, that can change the momentum in a hurry.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>July 6, 2007: <\/strong>Widely ranked among the worst days in White Sox history, the Twins sweep a doubleheader by scores of 20-14 and and 12-0. Logan personally gives up five of those runs while facing seven batters across two outs of the sixth and seventh innings in game two. <\/p>\n<p><strong>July 31, 2007: <\/strong>Logan is flawless in relief against the Yankees. New York wins, 16-3.<\/p>\n<p><strong>September 7, 2007: <\/strong>0IP, 3H, 3ER, 1HR. Twins 11, Sox 10.<\/p>\n<p><strong>March 31, 2008: <\/strong>Logan makes the opening day roster.<\/p>\n<p><strong>March 31 &#8211; April 5, 2008: <\/strong>Logan is near-perfect in his first three relief appearances and gives up only one hit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>April 11, 2008: <\/strong>3BF, 2H, 1R, 1ER, 0.1IP.<\/p>\n<p><strong>July 23, 2008: <\/strong>&#8220;I&#8217;ve just had a run of bad luck. It&#8217;s not like I&#8217;m going out there and walking hitters,&#8221; Logan tells the <em>Sun-Times<\/em>.&#8221; &#8220;I&#8217;m still going out and attacking hitters. I just need to make a better quality of pitches&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>July 31, 2008: <\/strong>Logan walks two and allows two hits; eight batters score two runs while only recording three outs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>August 9, 2008: <\/strong>4H, 4R, 4ER, 1BB. Red Sox 6, White Sox 2. &#8221;This is a pennant race. I want men out on the field,&#8221; Ozzie Guillen later says. &#8220;It&#8217;s unacceptable when they boo the manager when the players don&#8217;t do their job. Some players should look in the mirror and be embarrassed with the way they play.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>September 14, 2008: <\/strong>1BF, 1H, 1HR.<\/p>\n<p><strong>September 23, 2008: <\/strong>In his final appearance of the regular season, in a must-win series at Minnesota, Logan is summoned to relieve Clayton Richard, who in turn was already picking up the slack for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sox35th.com\/index.php\/335\/before-his-first-step-hes-off-again\">the most interesting man in baseball<\/a>. Logan records one out, but also gives up two hits and two runs. Sox lose 9-3.<\/p>\n<p><strong>October 2, 2008: <\/strong>The Sox&#8217; ALDS roster is set, <a href=\"http:\/\/mlb.mlb.com\/news\/article.jsp?ymd=20081002&#038;content_id=3582694&#038;vkey=news_cws&#038;fext=.jsp&#038;c_id=cws\">sans Logan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>October 31, 2008:<\/strong> Logan has a chance to <a href=\"http:\/\/chicago.whitesox.mlb.com\/news\/article.jsp?ymd=20081031&#038;content_id=3658901&#038;vkey=news_cws&#038;fext=.jsp&#038;c_id=cws\">redeem himself in 2009<\/a>, according to Cooper, even after finishing 2008 on an abysmal note.<\/p>\n<p><strong>December 4, 2008: <\/strong>The White Sox send Logan and Javier Vazquez to the Atlanta Braves in exchange for four prospects. &#8220;He&#8217;s a key piece,&#8221; Braves GM Frank Wren was <a href=\"http:\/\/atlanta.braves.mlb.com\/news\/article.jsp?ymd=20081204&#038;content_id=3701728&#038;vkey=news_atl&#038;fext=.jsp&#038;c_id=atl\">quoted as saying<\/a>. &#8220;He&#8217;s got the kind of live young arm that we were seeking.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Throughout the history of the Chicago White Sox, many pitchers have come and gone.
