Despite the Royals’ dominance of the AL Central basement for the better part of a decade, the Good Guys still have not swept a three-game series in Kansas City since April 22 through 24, 2005. No balks, dugout skirmishes or inside-the-park home runs were recorded that weekend, and Shingo Takatsu earned the series’ lone save. Come to think of it, having a closer was pretty cool.
