"Do what you love to do and give it your very best. Whether it's business or baseball, or the theater, or any field. If you don't love what you're doing and you can't give it your best, get out of it. Life is too short. You'll be an old man before you know it."

Did you hear what that idiot Skip Bayless said about Buehrle’s perfect game? I know someone like him should be totally ignored, but Andrew, you really need to write a column and put that SOB in his place. Or I will and I will email it to you.
I haven’t really kept up too much with Bayless since he left town, but from what I gather his whole MO is to simply say things that are ridiculous and outrageous, regardless of whether or not he actually believes them.
I was channel surfing after coming home from work, and (unfortunately) I happened to see him say that the umpires somehow fixed the game for Buehrle. I probably overreacted to his ravings, but the fact that millions of people watch guys like him (and Mariotti, and Woody Paige, and Kornhead, etc.) and actually take what they say seriously explains a lot about American culture.
