Bold Predictions: All-Star Breaking Is Hard to Do

Let’s not waste anyone’s time here: Three games against the Royals – including the awesome/embarrassing Mullet Night! – after the All-Star break that the Good Guys surely needed off will mean at least two wins. Mark Buehrle is elder statesman to Zack Greinke, Gavin Floyd is everything Gil Meche was, and John Danks’ ERA is just less than half of Brian Bannister’s. The Sox are 32-13 at home while the Royals are 21-29 on the road, not to mention the Southsiders hold a 5-1 advantage in head-to-head play thus far and the homer-reliant Sox are playing in their homer-conducive ballpark. Victory is eminent.

Sweep the leg, Johnny!
